Charity Benefit Sale - Baby Deer in Spring
Inspired by the changing of the seasons and all of the fresh little forest babies in the spring, this fawn was my take on what a cover for Taproot Magazine might look like. Complete with local New England florals that come up in the Spring, this baby just peacefully waits for its mama to return in the lush dense forest.
12 and 1/4 by 13 inches. Deer is gouache on thick watercolor paper collaged onto thin handmade leafy paper with gouache and acrylic painted on top.
If this piece is purchased by you, it will be sent with some support so it doesn’t get crinkled, but beware that the nature portion is a more delicate material than the deer. Knowing this however, there should be no issue displaying or having the piece age like any other art - just a psa for safety!
50% of the proceeds from this sale will be donated to the charities chosen by myself and my followers on Instagram. The two chosen for the sale this summer are the Alliance for Addiction and Mental Health Services, Maine and Hart (The Maine Adoption Center and Shelter for Cats) .
